Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients, including those in medical-surgical and progressive care, with occasional ICU patients. This role involves a commitment to a rotating weekend schedule and the possibility of working additional shifts if preferred.

Shift and Schedule

• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00)
• Weekend rotation: Required
• Holidays: Every other holiday required
• Standby call: As needed

Alternative scheduling option: 4x12-hour shifts will be considered with an increased weekend commitment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care Unit settings required.
• If a first-time traveler, a minimum of 3 years of experience in a hybrid unit is required.
• Active Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory (American Heart Association only).
• Successful completion of a telemetry exam is required prior to the start of the assignment.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU, ensuring safety and quality in patient management.
• Monitoring and assessing changes in patient conditions, intervening as necessary.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Educating patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
