Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 3 years of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit, step-down, or intermediate care; valid nursing license; located within the United States; and at least 1 year of recent clinical experience in a similar setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge duties and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to similar units.
- Additional Information: The role involves managing patients with diagnoses including congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, respiratory failure, and electrolyte abnormalities. Clinical skills required include continuous BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, wound care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and management of drips such as Heparin, Lasix, and Amiodarone. The candidate will work within a team supported by PCA/CNA, unit coordinator, and charge RN. EMR system utilized is Cerner, with a comfort level score of 3 or higher required. Orientation includes two shifts on the unit, with a focus on integration into the clinical environment. The scrub color is galaxy blue, and parking access is free with badge access. The unit culture allows for case-by-case consideration if candidates demonstrate strong clinical performance despite not meeting all listed criteria.
