Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Trauma Unit. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care during evening and night shifts, specifically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, with the potential for four 12-hour shifts from Thursday to Sunday if the traveler is interested. The position may also require working every other weekend and some holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Surgical Trauma Unit.
Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Utilize telemetry monitoring to assess patients’ cardiovascular status.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU, DOU, IMC, Stepdown, or telemetry nursing.
Experience with EPIC electronic health records system.
Current RN license is required.
BLS and ACLS certifications must be current, obtained through AHA only.
Must pass a telemetry test prior to starting the position.

This position may not be suitable for clinic placements.
