Job Summary
Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit. The registered nurse provides safe, individualized, and therapeutic care to an assigned group of patients and their families. The role uses the nursing process to assess needs, coordinate care, promote quality outcomes, and advocate for patient and family participation in care decisions.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse license; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH certifications; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); at least three years of recent registered nurse experience, including at least two years of recent experience in a specialty area.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include individualized assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions, patient and family education, documentation, delegation within scope of practice, patient advocacy, care coordination, participation in patient care conferences, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The role involves managing complex or high-risk clinical situations, recognizing communication barriers, adapting care to diverse patient needs, and evaluating patient and family progress toward identified goals.
