  • Position Description:
    The RN will care for adult patients with diagnoses such as cardiac conditions, dialysis needs, cancer, vascular issues, sepsis, stroke, post-stent and pacer placements, and renal failure. The role requires competence in arterial lines and titratable drips, with responsibilities including troubleshooting high-flow oxygen devices and interpreting telemetry strips. The unit comprises 40 beds with an average daily census of 24, and patient ratios of 1:4-5 during both day and night shifts.
  • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, ability to work nights, flexibility with float to Medical-Surgical or ICU units, COVID-19 vaccination (if applicable), drivers license.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Additional Information:
    The unit uses EPIC charting and employs overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners to enhance patient safety and comfort. The environment serves diverse cultural populations, primarily Hispanic and Somalian. Candidates must be team players, adaptable, and eager to learn, with excellent communication skills. RTO requests are limited to seven days or fewer at the start of the assignment, with no additional RTO approved afterward. The unit provides over one day of dedicated orientation to ensure clinical competence.
