Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM Description: Stepdown - Nights **Clinical Interview**NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)Contract Length: 13 weeks Start: 11/2 -- Bi-weekly orientation 

 

Primary location: MidtownShift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30pmFloat Requirement: First to float within skillset. Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Henderson (KY 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible. On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS. Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 2 years RN, 1 full year stepdown, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience. Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)Patient Population: Cardiac- post procedure (cath/stents/interventions, pacers), arrythmias, CVA, detox/CIWA, sepsis, DKA, respiratory distress, feeding tubes.Skillset: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), post heart cath care (fem./TR bands), initiate/titrate drips (cardizem, amio, cardene, nitro, Insulin, Heparin), NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessments, sepsis care, chest tubes, CPAP/Optiflow, PIV insertion. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidateUnit Information: 22 beds.
