Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in the area. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients requiring a higher level of monitoring and intervention within the healthcare facility. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing multiple patient needs and adapting to various clinical settings as needed.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS (American Heart Association) certification required; ACLS (American Heart Association) preferred; NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) preferred; current state nursing license; no minimum years of experience required.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend will be required, with weekends for days on Saturday and Sunday, and weekends for nights on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Responsibilities include titrating pressors, managing patient care in a Level 1 trauma environment (if no prior travel experience, Level 1 trauma experience will be required), and floating to various units such as emergency department holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units.
- The candidate must have Epic experience and be able to perform pass/fail testing on day one.
- Floating occurs in 4-hour blocks, and while rare, it could happen.
- Work starts on 10/26/2026 and concludes on 04/24/2027.
