Registered Nurse

Unit Overview

This unit specializes in intermediate care utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles. It supports a diverse patient population, including:

  • Patients transitioning from Neuro ICU
  • Individuals with neuro trauma
  • Patients with subarachnoid, intraventricular, or intracerebral hemorrhages
  • ENT patients undergoing tumor resection and flap reconstruction
  • Post-operative spine patients
  • A wide range of neurological disorders

Patient-to-nurse ratio is maintained at 1:3.

Position Details

  • Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
  • Schedule Duration: 13 weeks
  • Weekend and Holiday Work: Every other weekend and every other holiday is required
  • Time Off: 40 hours can be approved

Qualifications

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification is mandatory
  • Experience with Epic electronic health records is required
  • Must adhere to the floating policy of the organization
  • Registered Nurse license must be active; pending licenses may be submitted
