Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Nights)
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekend: Every other weekend
Call: Only if census is low
Openings: 3 currently
Travel Requirement: Must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Unit Information

• Beds: 36
• Patient Ratio:
  • Cardiac: 1:5–6
  • PCU/Stepdown: 1:3–4
• Patient Population: Cardiac, telemetry, trauma, and stepdown patients
• Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
• EHR: Cerner
• Float: Required

Requirements

• 1+ year PCU or Stepdown experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIH
• Associate degree required
• Cardiac patient experience
• Cardiac monitoring
• Cardiac drips
• Chest tube experience
• Cardiac Stepdown experience

Preferred Experience

• PCU/Stepdown
• Low-level ICU skills

Common Diagnoses

• Chest pain
• VATS
• Stroke/TIA
• Pre/Post open-heart surgery
• Pacemakers
• Heart blocks
• Vascular conditions
• CHF

Scrubs: Blue or Navy
Orientation: Facility-specific
Position: Replacement for permanent staff
