Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team, specializing in intermediate care unit (IMC) settings with a focus on cardiac telemetry. The successful candidate will have experience in managing patients in a telemetry environment and be prepared to work in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess patients' cardiac telemetry, interpreting data, and making informed decisions about patient care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
  • Provide patient education and support family members to enhance understanding of health conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with institutional policies.

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Experience in cardiac telemetry as well as PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown units is required.
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system is required.
  • Willingness to work evening and night shifts, including 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend commitment.
  • Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry competency test prior to clearance to start.

Work Schedule

This position requires flexibility to work evening or night shifts, with potential scheduling for 3x12 or 4x12 hour work periods.
