Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a 225-bed specialty care hospital located in the central region of Michigan's upper peninsula. The role involves providing specialized care to cardiac and stepdown patient populations, working within a dynamic team to deliver high-quality patient care. This temporary assignment is ideal for RNs with at least one year of experience in PCU or stepdown units, seeking to contribute in a fast-paced environment and expand their clinical skills.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH certification, 1-year experience in PCU or stepdown units, located in Michigan or willing to relocate within the region
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, cardiac drips, and cardiac populations
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit handles cardiac population with trauma and stepdown level of care, utilizing telemetry monitoring
    • Patient ratios are 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown population
    • Equipment includes telemetry monitoring systems
    • Electronic Health Record system utilized is Cerner
    • Must adhere to facility dress code: scrubs in blue or navy; no blue jeans
    • Position is a replacement for permanent staff
