First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Redding, California.
The PCU is a stepdown unit from the ICU.
It will be a 3:1 nurse patient ration for closer monitoring of the ICU patients that don’t quite meet the tele level of care.
-RN’s should have experience in a ICU stepdown or PCU unit.
Training is telemetry. Training in high risk medications Unit PCU/Step-down (critical care stepdown)
# Beds 14 beds/7 rooms
Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:3
Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Stepdown patients from ICU, TBI/trauma patients, major surgery, CEA, sepsis
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Arterial and CVP pressure lines; titrating pressors; precedex; trach & stable vented patients
