Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Carbondale, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements

MUST have recent 2 years of IMN/PCU/Stepdown experience within the past 2 years, in order to qualify for this position. 

 

 

The ratio is 4:1 on PCU patients. 

 Every other weekend and holidays.

There are no on call requirements, but there is overtime available for anyone who wants it.

Cannot guarantee block schedules, but will try to accommodate a preferred schedule.

Acuity fluctuates, but we see a wide variety of cardiac and respiratory patients. We have a supportive and collaborative culture on the department. 

Manager easy to contact for any needs and is visible to night shift at least twice per week.

  • Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person.
  • Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
  • Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
  • Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education.
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

 

Licenses and Certification

  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
  • Current CPR/BLS Card
  • ACLS
