Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2520
Opportunity:
RN - PCU
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts with schedule options of 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4-5 during day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and 1:5-6 during night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Nursing assistants present with ratios of 1:8-12 during day shift
• Care for post-surgical patients including orthopedic, urology, GYN/ONC, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, ENT, plastics, and GI, as well as acute medical patients with short anticipated length of stay
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, and occasionally nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and insulin
• Telemetry monitoring present with remote technicians running and monitoring strips using GE telemetry system
• Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen therapy; no ventilators
• Respiratory therapy support available on unit
• Charge nurse present on all shifts and takes an assignment; house supervisor present on all shifts
• Float required to other adult medical/surgical nursing units
• Block scheduling utilized to the best of the facility's ability dependent on staffing; no self-scheduling
• Scrub color: any color, clean and professional
• Charting system: Cerner
• 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• BSN not required
• Valid Wisconsin nursing license required

This acute care facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center providing comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The facility features a dedicated progressive care unit supporting a wide range of post-surgical and acute medical patients, with robust support services including respiratory therapy, remote telemetry monitoring, and nursing assistant coverage. The organization maintains strong interdisciplinary collaboration with charge nurses and house supervisors present on all shifts to ensure optimal patient care.
