Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The nurse will play a key role in managing a diverse patient demographic, primarily serving adults aged 18 and above.

Unit Information

  • Unit Type: IMCU
  • Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory conditions such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction (MI), and post-operative care.
  • Specialty Equipment: Temporary pacemakers, Chest tubes, Arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo.
  • Ventilator Experience: Management of chronic vents, with respiratory therapy assistance as needed.
  • Number of Beds: 64 beds with 15 designated Neuro beds.

Shift Information

  • Shift Hours: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Floating Requirements: Floating to other units may be required.
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
  • Current and valid AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  • Active New York RN license along with NURSYS report for license verification.
  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC is required.
  • Must provide and include Requests for Time Off (RTO) at the time of application.
