Job Description
Join the Magnet-designated nursing team at Stormont Vail Health for a rewarding night-shift assignment on 6 South (Post-Surgical: Urology, Bariatric Surgery). On this 28-bed progressive surgical unit, you will deliver specialized care to post-operative patients recovering from bariatric reduction, urologic/nephrology procedures, and complex wound interventions alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team. Practice within an engaging, high-reliability culture dedicated to patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous professional growth.

Requirements

1+ years of recent clinical experience in a progressive care or surgical stepdown setting (no first-time travelers)

Active Kansas (KS) State License or Compact/Multi-State License (unencumbered)

Active AHA BLS Certification

Floating flexibility to other inpatient Med/Surg and post-surgical units as needed

Day 1 essential clinical competencies in post-operative surgical care, complex wound management, and Epic EHR charting (Navy Blue scrubs required)

Preferred Qualifications

Direct clinical experience handling bariatric post-op, urologic, or complex surgical wound stepdown patient populations

Systems knowledge and proficiency with Epic EHR charting (test-out option available)

Previous travel contract experience in an acute care hospital setting
