Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing position located in a healthcare facility. The role involves coordinating all aspects of patient care within the unit, including patient assessments, medication management, patient education, and discharge planning. The position requires close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to clinical protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, valid California State Nurse Licensure, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of experience working in a clinical setting. Experience with transplant populations and outpatient EPIC Phoenix systems is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiology, interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, and obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG and Vital Signs.
  • Additional Information: Must have current ACLS and BLS certifications. Candidates must upload Nursys verification of licensure and applicable certifications with valid expiration dates. References should be obtained within the last year. The candidate should be proficient in patient education, post-operative assessment, and discharge planning.
  • Compliance and Orientation: Labs must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to start date. Modules are completed during orientation and record hours via e-learning.
