Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:00 | 36 Hours Per Week
    • Weekend & Holiday Protocol: Every other weekend (EOW) rotation and holiday coverage required.
    • Floating Protocol [HARDSTOP]: Required to float to other clinical units (Emergency Department, Maternal Child Health) as operationally needed [HARDSTOP].
    • Education Requirement: Mandatory attendance at department quarterly education sessions during assignment.
  • Assignment Duration: 13-Week Contract (10/05/2026 Start) | 1 Open Position
  • Location Region: Newport, Vermont (VT) | 25-Bed Critical Access Hospital

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 5+ years of clinical RN experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or PCU/Stepdown [HARDSTOP].
  • Leadership & Autonomy Competency [HARDSTOP]: Must demonstrate clinical independence and ability to perform Charge Nurse duties [HARDSTOP].
  • Licensure Requirements [IN-HAND AT ACCEPTANCE]: Active Vermont State RN License or active eNLC Multistate Compact RN License required upon offer acceptance [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
  • EMR Proficiency: Direct documentation experience in Cerner EMR.
