TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky.
UNIT: 8 East Ortho/Trauma Mixed Acuity-9503001
CLINICALS W/ MNGR APPROVAL
Certs Required: BLS, NIHSS
Experience Required: 2 years STAC required, 3 preferred. Blood Admin, skeletal, bucks traction, drains, JP, Chest Tube management, wound dressings, wound vac management, wound care. Heparin gtt, high flow, stable bipap, Trach care required. There is no drip titration on this unit (if titration is ordered, patient will be transferred to ICU)
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Trauma post-surgical, MVA, elective surgeries, Whipple’s, chole’s, GSW, blunt/penetrating trauma’s, assaults, ATV, amputations. Primary ortho injuries which frequently include external fixation devices and pin site care requirements.
Patient Ratios: 1:4-6
Floating: mixed acuity only.
