Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

A travel position is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Intermediate Care (IMC). The nurse will work primarily in both the IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and the IMC Thoracic unit. The schedule consists of 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the expectation of working every other weekend and some holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in telemetry oncology, cardiac, and progressive care settings.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilator support and transplantation care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver safe and effective patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care and communication in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Perform telemetry assessments and recognize abnormal findings.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license and compact RN license required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Experience in telemetry, oncology, cardiac nursing, and progressive care units (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) is essential.
• Prior experience with ventilator management and transplant patient care is required.
• Candidates must successfully pass a telemetry assessment prior to starting the assignment.
