Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a stepdown unit that focuses on cardiovascular care. This role requires a strong clinical background and the ability to work effectively within a team to make critical assessments and interventions for patients recovering from cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, conducting assessments, and administering medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately and promptly.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and medication management.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Shift Information

Shifts are scheduled as Day shifts, working three 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a stepdown or similar acute care setting.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.
• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Work Schedule

The Cardiac Stepdown RN position requires availability to work every other weekend.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed scheduled hours: 36 per week.
• No restrictions on time off, but not allowed on a week-at-a-time basis due to ongoing implementations.
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position.
