Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

A skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse is needed in the Cardiac Stepdown unit. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals recovering from cardiovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients in a stepdown setting.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and overall health status.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a cardiac or stepdown unit.
  • Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Ability to float within nursing scope as needed to meet facility demands.
  • No first-time travelers accepted for this position.

Scheduling Information

  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Full-time schedule of three 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
  • Every other weekend required.
  • Scheduled hours guaranteed at 36 per week.
  • No block scheduling is available.

Additional Information

All applicants must adhere to specific RTO (Request Time Off) restrictions, with no requests allowed for a full week at a time. Local candidates and those with pending licenses will not be considered for this role.
