Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required; PCU, step-down, IMC, CCU, or ICU experience preferred
  • Experience caring for high-acuity cardiac and medical patients in an acute care hospital setting
  • Ability to manage complex drips, interpret patient changes, and monitor hemodynamic stability
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit with variable patient assignments
  • Strong assessment, communication, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills

RN Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality patient care to individuals with advanced heart failure and other complex medical conditions
  • Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as heart failure, arrhythmias, NSTEMI/CAD, respiratory failure, sepsis, and renal failure
  • Care for patients using advanced equipment and therapies, including LVADs, Impella, and bedside monitoring systems
  • Titrate and monitor vasoactive drips and other commonly used infusions per protocol
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
  • Remain flexible and responsive to changing unit needs, patient acuity, and nursing priorities
