Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse located at a healthcare facility in the region. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular conditions on a step-down unit that manages a range of cardiac and post-procedural diagnoses. The position offers an opportunity to work rotating night shifts with a flexible schedule, supporting a team focused on high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; 2 years of experience in cardiovascular or step-down nursing; experience with cardiac telemetry, central line care, trauma or CVA care, and management of cardiac drips; proficiency in charting systems (Epic preferred) and bedside clinical skills including management of IVs, Wound Care, and patient monitoring
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as CPI, NCLEX, or advanced cardiovascular life support are a plus
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to similar units within scope as needed based on facility needs
  • Additional Information: The unit has 55 beds, with a patient ratio of 1:4-5. Experience with cardiac patients, specifically CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, and cardiovascular related procedures, is essential. The team collaborates with multidisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Orientation includes 24 hours of onboarding. The assignment is from 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027, with the possibility of RTO preferences considered at submittal.
