Unit Information:
Beds: 30
Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI provided in orientation
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Cerner
IV Pump: Plum 360
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Phillips
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Chest pain, cardiac diagnoses, PCI, general medical
Patient Ratios: 1:5, occasionally 6
Skills required: IV starts, tube management (chest, JP drains, hemovacs) oral care, dressing changes, wound care, drips, CIWA and COWS
Floating: If yes, where? Yes, within scope of practice and below, other Mixed Acuity units
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: No more than every other weekend
On call? No
Holiday Expectations: Based on unit needs
Approval of RTO: NM Approval
Schedule cycle: Willing to consider block scheduling
