Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurses are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients in the designated unit. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care within a fast-paced environment, utilizing clinical judgment and nursing skills necessary to meet the physical and developmental needs of adult patients. The position requires an active RN license and a commitment to delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care, adhering to organizational policies and professional standards.

- Minimum Experience: 0 years (new graduates welcomed)
- Certifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification.
- Additional Qualifications: Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred but not required; ability to perform all physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Responsibilities: Include comprehensive patient assessments, developing and revising care plans, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with the healthcare team, and documenting patient care accurately and timely.
- Clinical Involvement: May participate in research activities, contribute to improvement initiatives, and support patient education and discharge planning.
- Interaction: Communicates effectively with patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
