Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia.

Position Details
RN—Neuro Stepdown Unit
NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (no candidates within 50-mile radius)
MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation
Minimum 6 months dedicated Neuro experience required
Drips: Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardene, Cardizem, 3% Saline.
Oxygen: Mid-flow, Non-rebreather, NC, BiPAP (bedtime only).
NGT, Tube feedings, lumbar drains (at least 1/month)
12-Hr Nights, Every other weekend/major holiday required
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

28 Bed Neuro Stepdown unit
Patient population: Mainly CVA and some Neuro/Surgical patients,
higher acuity telemetry patients: AMS/ETOH/Suspected Seizure
Skills: Ventrics, IV gtts, NGT, Tube feedings, lumbar drains
Staffing: CNA's: 1-2 per shift, Unit Secretary: 1 per shift. Charge nurses take full assignment
Equipment: Alaris, Kangaroo, wound vac
Ratio*: 1:4-5
