Job Details

  • Certification requirements: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, and ONS/ONCC (current preferred, not required).
  • Education and experience: Valid nursing license; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a similar setting.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
  • Position type: Full-time with the possibility of float assignments to other medical/surgical units, maintaining the same level of care.
  • Orientation: Two days of unit-specific training prior to start.
  • Responsibilities include titration of insulin and Cardizem drips, managing high-flow respiratory equipment, and ensuring exemplary patient care through hourly rounding and bedside reporting.
  • EMR system: EPIC; IV pumps: Alaris.
  • Support staff includes nursing assistants, charge nurses, PT/OT, case managers, social workers, educators, and dietitians.
  • Candidate requirements: Must have a valid drivers license, pass a clinical interview and manager interview with a pass/fail exam, and demonstrate minimum clinical competency.
  • Additional notes: Candidates should be comfortable managing common titratable drips and high-flow respiratory equipment.
