- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Expected to float to ICU and inpatient units as needed
- EMR: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Critical Care, ICU, or Emergency Department experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a high-acuity hospital setting
- Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and obtaining your own labs
- Comfortable with codes, consults, and working without a vascular access team
- Experience with open-heart day 2 or day 3 patients and pacer wires preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly and provide care across multiple inpatient units
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients with complex medical needs
- Monitor patient status closely and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Manage advanced therapies and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Support patients requiring BiPAP, chest tube management, PICC line care, and lab collection
- Participate in emergency response situations, including codes and urgent consults
- Float to ICU and other inpatient units such as med/surg, med/tele, acute/tele, and ED when needed
- Deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining excellent communication and teamwork
