Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse position in Rock Island, Illinois. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to patients in a specialized unit with a focus on monitoring and supporting individuals transitioning from intensive care. The nurse will operate within a Native-Bold (NBO) of 16 hours, utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system, and must be available for scheduled orientation. This position supports a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment requiring clinical expertise and adaptability.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Two years of previous stepdown experience, Illinois state license, drivers license, work history/resume, skills checklist completed within 1 year, license verification, copy of required certifications (BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association), supervisory reference required at submission, and must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility (or within a 10% rate reduction for local candidates in Madison, Sioux City, Bettendorf, or Fort Dodge).

  • Additional Information: Candidate must be experienced with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, central lines, drains, and CBI management. Capable of titration with medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban. Orientation scheduled to start on 08/24/2026, with multiple sessions throughout the year. The clinical environment has a patient ratio of 1:7; staffing influx aims to improve this ratio.
