Position Overview
Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care / Stepdown assignment at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida.
The selected RN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit and will work across both the 3E and 3W units. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced PCU/SPCU nurse who is comfortable managing a 4:1 patient ratio in a 36-bed unit.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to progressive care and stepdown patients.
Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring intervention.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
Deliver safe, patient-centered care across the 3E and 3W units.
Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.
Requirements
Active RN license valid for the assignment location.
Minimum 2 years of SPCU/Progressive Care or Stepdown nursing experience.
Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
Current BLS certification required.
Current ACLS certification required.
NIHSS certification required.
Epic EMR experience preferred.
