Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The position involves working night shifts to provide high-quality care to patients requiring intermediate medical attention.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care to individuals in the PCU, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting recovery.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health management, discharge planning, and treatment protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continue professional development.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in a Progressive Care Unit or Stepdown setting.
  • Valid Ohio RN license or a Compact State license.
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with holidays scheduled every other holiday.
