Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare organization within a facility. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, supervising healthcare staff, and coordinating patient treatment plans. The assignment spans 13 weeks, with opportunities for 48-hour shifts. The position emphasizes safety, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS Certification prior to first shift, ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only), a minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience, and experience in a Progressive Care Unit.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Select Medical facility.
  • Additional Information: Performs initial nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, documents all patient interactions accurately and punctually, and participates in patient rehabilitation programs. Initiates discharge planning from day one and provides patient teaching to support smooth transitions. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and patient safety. Oversees and directs ancillary nursing staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed, including safe patient handling, infectious disease control, and workplace safety. Maintains effective communication with team members, manages supplies and equipment, and participates in team-building activities. May assume charge responsibilities following orientation and actively pursues professional development.
