Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse Nights Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized care to patients in a step-down unit supporting post-myocardial infarction, postoperative vascular, gastrointestinal bleed, diabetic ketoacidosis, and other critical patients. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, managing titratable drips and ensuring patient stability.

Job Details

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS | Education Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience | Location Requirements: Not specified | Years of Experience: 2 years minimum required.
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional clinical responsibilities include managing titratable drips such as Nitroglycerine, Neo, and Cardene; reading strips and monitoring telemetry for all patients; and collaborating with charge nurses and other staff.
  • Routine use of BiPap and Cpap ventilators; telemetry monitoring; and unit-specific orientation provided.
