Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980–$2,080
• Location: Ypsilanti, Michigan, near Ann Arbor
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week, typically three 12-hour shifts
• Assignment Start: November 2, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, through January 31, 2027
• Holiday Coverage: Work either Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve/Day or Christmas Eve/Day
• Work Setting: On-site hospital environment

PCU Travel RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan
• At least 1 year of recent progressive care, step-down, telemetry, or comparable acute-care nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Recent experience using Epic electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to complete required clinical, professional, and compliance onboarding requirements

Progressive Care Unit RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a progressive care and step-down setting
• Monitor patients closely, recognize changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards and provider orders
• Complete focused and comprehensive assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and reassessments
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized treatment plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge needs
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and high-quality clinical outcomes
• Provide reliable night-shift coverage, including required holiday coverage during the assignment
