Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position is located in a medical center that provides specialized nursing care to acutely ill patients. This role involves direct patient care using the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines. The position requires a dedicated RN capable of providing high-quality nursing services in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan license, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIHSS certification, and pertinent skills checklist current within 1 year. 2+ years of nursing experience, with recent neuro progressive care unit experience highly preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Recent travel work history highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: The RN will regularly assess patient needs, provide skilled nursing interventions, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. The role also includes evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
