Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a hospitalist unit specializing in general medicine. The RN will work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care while providing support to patients with varying medical needs.

Schedule

Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule

Patient Care Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, with a goal of achieving 1:4.
Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive optimal care.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Qualifications

Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Epic experience is required.
Ability to float to other PCU units and potentially Med Surg as needed.
Strong clinical skills in progressive care settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

All requests for time off must be submitted upfront with the application. Local traveler eligibility is based on the distance from the address on the driver's license.
