Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position available in an acute care setting. The role involves providing specialized cardiac and pulmonary care on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. Candidates must possess the necessary licensure and clinical experience to support patients with complex cardiac conditions.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state/district required
- Cardiac telemetry experience required, 2 years of RN experience required
- Cerner electronic health record experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the unit
- Additional Information:
- Must be able to handle frequent IV drips such as Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, Bumex
- Common diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery patients
- Experience working in a cardiac-focused stepdown unit preferred
