Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state license
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Experience in acute care or progressive care preferred
• Neuro/stroke experience strongly preferred
• Ability to manage intermediate-level patients, including those on cardiac drips
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to perform safely in a high-acuity, rapidly changing clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes with sound clinical judgment
• Provide nursing care for progressive care and stepdown patients requiring close observation
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate safe, effective care
• Support patients with stroke, neuro, and cardiac-related needs when assigned
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and care teams
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes throughout the shift
