Job Requirements

  • Active RN license and eligibility to practice in Ohio
  • At least 2 years of recent PCU, step-down, or telemetry nursing experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Epic EHR experience within the last 12 months required
  • Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months required
  • Accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE
  • Strong cardiac monitoring and progressive care nursing background
  • Ability to care for patients on medication drips and complete frequent NIH assessments
  • Comfortable working with isolation precautions as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate care for medical and progressive care patients in a telemetry-focused unit
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Manage patients receiving medication drips and other progressive care interventions
  • Perform frequent NIH assessments for neurological patients
  • Support care for COVID and other isolation patients when present
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to maintain quality outcomes and patient safety
  • Float as assigned to support unit needs
  • Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
