Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit. This role is focused on providing high-quality care to medical neurological patients in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Schedule

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
Rotating weekends required

Position Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing capacity
Registered Nurse with required certifications, including BLS, ACLS, and NIH
Experience in a Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is essential
Familiarity with CVA protocols, External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing screen
Previous charge nurse experience is preferred

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit
Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
Participating in patient education and support
Floating to other units within the region as required

Additional Information

This position requires adaptability as the Registered Nurse may be required to float across multiple locations as needed. Staff members are scheduled for 6-week periods through a self-assistance scheduling system.
