Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare organization. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care, conducting patient assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individual care plans. The RN supervises licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and orientees to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) prior to first shift. Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience in a hospital setting, including ICU experience. Location requirements are not specified.

  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to establish individualized care plans. Ensures effective communication during handoffs and between care team members to support continuity of care and patient safety. Supervises ancillary staff, manages supplies, and maintains a safe environment in compliance with hospital policy. May assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation.
