Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Located in the metro area. This position involves providing specialized patient care within a PCU setting, with a focus on adult and geriatric patients. The role requires float capabilities across multiple units, including Medical/Surg Intermediate and Neuro/Telemetry departments, supporting a collaborative healthcare environment.

Job Details

  • Position Type: Travel assignment
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications Required: BLS, NIHSS
  • Certifications Preferred: ACLS
  • Required Qualifications: Active Missouri or Compact state nursing license, 2 years of experience in PCU or similar setting, certification in BLS and NIHSS
  • Additional Responsibilities: Managing dysrhythmias, interpreting cardiac telemetry, caring for patients post-cardiac catheterization, sepsis management, wound care, and handling complex conditions such as renal failure, stroke, COVID, and more. Float between departments and campuses as needed, with a maximum of 7 days of related time off allowed.
  • Clinical Skills: Cardiac monitoring, emergency response, sheath removal, feeding tube care, IV therapy, central line management, blood product administration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
  • Schedule Notes: Requires night shifts, with flexible floating across approximately five units, and may include weekend shifts as part of the 6-week schedule period. Orientation hours included, with compliance documentation due prior to start date.
