Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Description

This is a 12-bed unit utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles at the Intermediate level. The common patient populations include individuals transferring from the Neuro ICU, those who have experienced neuro trauma, subarachnoid, intraventricular or intracerebral hemorrhage, ENT patients with cancer who have undergone tumor resection and flap reconstruction, post-operative spine patients, and a range of other neurological issues. The patient to nurse ratio is 1:3.

Shift Information

  • Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours per week (07:00 - 19:00)
  • Every other weekend and holiday required
  • Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays

Qualifications

  • Valid RN license (can submit with license pending)
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • NIH stroke certification required
  • Epic experience required
  • Must adhere to float policy
