Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in a Level 3 Trauma Center. The role involves providing clinical care within a fast-paced environment, supporting patients with various conditions such as stroke, sepsis, arrhythmias, and post-surgical recovery. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active Iowa or Iowa Compact nursing license, BLS (American Heart Association preferred but ARC or US Military certificates accepted), ACLS (American Heart Association preferred but ARC or US Military certificates accepted), NIHSS certification, valid drivers license, 2+ years of clinical experience in the specified discipline, and must be able to float to emergency department and all inpatient areas. First-time travelers are welcome.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with float within the same discipline across local campuses.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The candidate must be prepared to float within the same discipline to all inpatient and emergency department areas, supporting patient care across multiple units as needed.
  • Submission Requirements: Experience verification, supervisory reference form completed within the last two years, and active state licensure.
