Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a hospital setting. This travel assignment involves providing specialized nursing care for post-op and cardiology patients in a state-of-the-art unit. The role offers an opportunity to work within a highly skilled, teamwork-oriented environment with advanced equipment and technology.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 1 year of current acute care hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac experience and prior Meditech EMR experience
  • Additional Information: The unit features telemetry and post-operative monitoring; performs a variety of procedures including post-op recovery from surgical and cath lab procedures, elects ortho, spine, and GYN surgeries, and manages cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin). The unit uses a modified self-scheduling process, with scheduling posted three weeks in advance to facilitate trade arrangements.
