Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized cardiac and cardiovascular patient care in a 64-bed flex unit that accommodates intermediate and general care. The position requires strong clinical skills, including the ability to interpret cardiac strips, manage complex cardiac drips, and perform bedside procedures such as cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms. The RN will collaborate with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shift, 36 hours per week, starting from 09/14/2026 to 12/13/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license (Compact license accepted), 1 year of clinical experience, BLS from American Heart Association, ACLS from American Heart Association, ability to interpret cardiac strips, pass EKG exam as part of credentialing, pass NIHSS assessment, and be within 80 miles local radius.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac drips, titration of medication, and managing patients with conditions such as NSTEMI, acute coronary syndrome, cardiac arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure.
• Additional Information: The unit cares for cardiac medicine and cardiovascular subspecialties, including NSTEMI, cardiac arrest, high-risk cardiac OB, and patients with implantable devices. Assignments are based on patient needs, necessitating flexibility and collaborative skills. The charge nurse does not have a patient assignment.
