Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in an outpatient care setting. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by following nursing care plans, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring patient safety. This role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and patient education throughout the patient care continuum.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift with 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS Certification required prior to first shift, ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only), ICU experience required, Critical Care experience required, minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience highly desired, 0+ years of experience preferred
  • Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing individualized care plans, providing patient and family education, documenting all assessments and interventions promptly, and participating in patient rehabilitation programs.
  • Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission, communicates patient status changes for continuity of care, delegates responsibilities appropriately, and maintains safety and clinical standards.
  • Assumes charge responsibility following orientation, participates in team-building activities, maintains open communication with management regarding supplies and equipment, and pursues professional development.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
