TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina.
UNIT: PCU 4 South
Experience Required: 18 months PCU. First time travelers not preferred but will consider. Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps. Medication gtt management to include: Cardiac drips, Heparin, Insulin, blood products, IVF.
Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
EMR: Epic
Floating Requirements: Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises
Patient Ratios: PCU: 1:3-4
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Heart Failure, Chest Pain, r/o Stroke, General Medical – Sepsis, Renal Failure, Respiratory Failure, DKA, interventional patients with titratable drips.
