• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, typically 3 shifts per week
• Hours Per Week: 36 hours, with the possibility of 48 hours based on unit needs
• Contract Length: 20 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710 - $1,800
• Shift Timing: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Orientation: 36 hours on unit
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling based on unit needs
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May be required to float to nearby telemetry or med-surg settings as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Start Date: 10/12/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must not be a first-time traveler
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license eligible/pending OK for submission
• Current certifications required: ACLS and BLS
• Ability to successfully complete EKG testing prior to start
• Strong telemetry RN skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with IV starts, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management
• Comfort working in a fast-paced intermediate care environment
• Must be open to floating within or near the facility as needed
• Professional, adaptable, and committed to safe, high-quality patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to patient status changes
• Care for patients with cardiac, renal, pulmonary, surgical, and trauma-related conditions
• Manage patients receiving oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Support care for pre- and post-procedure patients, including cardiac and vascular interventions
• Administer medications and assist with vasoactive and cardiac drips per policy
• Deliver patient and family education with a compassionate, team-focused approach
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services to promote optimal outcomes
• Document care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
• Contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-centered unit environment
